Horton’s Tour Poster
Brief: To develop posters promoting Horton’s 2025 summer tour
Context: After Carters concluded it's final tour dates in Oct ‘22, Sussex showman James Horton purchased several rides from Joby and planned to tour his fairground (Horton’s) along the same route and locations as Carters.
Approach: To create a sense of continuity I took inspiration from the original Carters steam fair poster, designed and illustrated by Scarlett Rickard - with Joby Carter’s kind permission.
Delivery: The Horton’s tour poster features a composite digital illustration of the famous Grand Stud Gallopers and typography influenced by Horton’s hand-painted fairground lettering, re-drawn to improve legibility.
