wife,&nbsp;Katie, Robin got in touch and asked me to develop the brand identity, typography and packaging system for his solo nano brewing venture.&nbsp; Over the first year of trading we have an independent costume workroom producing high complexity garments for film, TV and live performance.&nbsp; I developed a bespoke word mark referencing script lettering from John M. Clarke’s book of alphabets for signwriters, decorators and draughtsman. The logotype has been applied to hand painted sinage, garment labels, company stationary and garment bags.&nbsp;The garment labels were woven by Robert Ely on one of the last of surviving silk jacquard looms in the UK.&nbsp; Client: Fitzsimons &amp; Co. Brief: To develop posters promoting Horton’s 2025 summer tourContext: After Carters concluded it's final tour dates in Oct ‘22, Sussex showman James Horton purchased several rides from Joby and planned to tour his fairground (Horton’s) along the same route and locations as Carters. Approach: To create a sense of continuity I took inspiration from the original Carters steam fair poster, designed and illustrated by Scarlett Rickard - with Joby Carter’s kind permission. Delivery: &nbsp;The Horton’s tour poster features a composite digital illustration of the famous Grand Stud Gallopers and typography influenced by Horton’s hand-painted fairground lettering, re-drawn to improve legibility. ︎ illustration ︎ Lettering ︎ design for print Client: Horton’s Steam FairDate: May 2025
